MS Dhoni signs off international cricket

Karachi: Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced to retire from international cricket with immediate effect.

Taking to Instagram, Dhoni thanked his fans for immense support throughout his career and asked them to consider him ‘retired’ from now onwards.

“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 19:29 hrs consider me as Retired,” he put a caption to a video summarizing his career in pictures.

It must be noted here that Dhoni didn’t mention the formats he is retiring from and it remains unclear for now.

Dhoni represented India all three formats of the game and captained his side to the T20 World Cup victory in 2007, World Cup 2011 victory, and Champions Trophy triumph in 2013. He played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is for India since his ODI debut in 2004.
