It’s sharp wide-open, has beautifully smooth bokeh, and is built well but won’t weigh you down. Some color fringing in challenging situations at wider apertures is the only significant knock against this versatile lens.

- Really impressive sharpness, even at widest apertures
- Smooth bokeh

- Reasonably compact size
- Useful close-focus distance
