Manchester: Former cricketer and current national team’s head coach Misbah-ul-Haq said he also carried drinks for the players during his captaincy tenure.
Speaking to reporters after day 2 ends at Old Trafford, Misbah answers to social media debate related to Sarfaraz Ahmed who came into the field during the play carrying water and shoes.
“It is very common and I don’t think this was an issue for Sarfaraz either. Even I carried drinks for the team in Australia when I was captain but didn’t play that particular match in which I was the 12th man,” said Misbah.
It must be noted here that a picture went viral on social media in which Sarfaraz can be seen giving water to Shadab Khan and Shan Masood who were at the crease.

People were having mixed opinions as some thought it was disrespecting the former skipper while others pointed out how great players such as Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Ricky Ponting also carried drinks for their team.
