
Manchester: Babar Azam once again proved his mettle with a well-fought fifty on day 1 of the opening Test against England at Old Trafford.
The right-handed batsman walked off being not out for 69 off 100 balls at stumps. Former cricketers, commentators and people on Twitter praised the young batsman.
Nasser Hussain analyzed Babar’s performance and praised the way he has improved his techniques into becoming one of the finest batsmen in the world’s cricket right now. The former England cricketer also named him among fab five alongside Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, and Joe Root.
Wasim Akram also praised Babar and said he’s never satisfied with his performance which is a sign of a great player.
